Key Log Guide

Keep track of keys that have been released in the building with our Key Log! This article will cover how to enable the key log, how to release and return keys, and how to view the key log archive.

ENABLE KEY LOG 

Step 1

To set up your settings for the Key Log go to My Dashboard > Application Settings > Modules & Features > Key Log. Turn on the Key Log module so that it will appear under My Dashboard. Here you can add special keys or a reason for the key being released. There is also an option to require a signature for releasing keys using the package tracking signature pad.

Step 2

Once the Key Log is turned on, you can access it from My Dashboard > Key Log.

RELEASING AND RETURNING KEYS

Step 1

Go to My Dashboard > Key Log > Release Key.

Step 2

Fill out the Release Key form. The red asterisk indicates that it is a mandatory field. When you have finished completing the form, click Submit.

Step 3

To return the key, click Return Key.

Tip: You are able to export the currently released keys to an excel by clicking on 'Export to CSV'.

KEY LOG ARCHIVE

When the key is returned it will appear under the Archive tab.

There is also a search option under the Archive tab.

Tip: You are able to export the Archive by clicking on Export to CSV.
